Goals

Students will learn and apply advanced features in MS PowerPoint to create a print-ready magazine cover.​
CREATE COVER  (Power Standards 1 and 2)
  1. Create magazine cover template, save in the required location and file name.
  2. Add magazine cover elements including
    1. Title
    2. Three (3) magazine titles
    3. Background
    4. Isolated photo of yourself
    5. A minimum of three (special effects)

Assignment Details

Students will create a magazine cover utilizing advanced MS PowerPoint elements 
 IDENTIFY COVER ELEMENTS (Power Standards 1 and 2)
  1. MAGAZINE FOCUS: Students will create a magazine cover featuring you!
  2. THEME: Identify magazine cover theme and elements.
  1. EQUIPMENT: After theme and elements have been identified, a camera can be borrowed from Mr. Roth to shoot photos in the studio in front of the green screen.Please be sure there is a camera card in the camera for easier download to your computer.The camera should be returned to Mr. Roth at the end of the period. 

Process

  • To create stunning and effective design projects, Students will learn from the ground up with confidence.
  • To begin this course, this learning path will show you how to take advantage of a wide range of tools in MS PowerPoint and Photoshop to better your graphic design projects.
